12 Days Tanzania Honeymoon Adventure

Day 1: Arrival Day

Arrival at JRO TBA, transfer to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay, pre-safari briefing with your guide.

Day 2: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Now it's time for the safari! After an early breakfast, get ready and transfer to Tarangire (approximately 2-hour drive). After checking in for the safari, enter the national park for a game drive. This park is famous for its huge elephant herds, its true sense of wilderness, and its backdrop of baobab trees. Continue to your lodge/camp in the heart of the national park, surrounded by the historical elephant migration routes of the area. Enjoy a sunset and a campfire before dinner.

Day 3: Tarangire

Another day in Tarangire: explore the savannah and the Silalei Swamp to see a multitude of elephants grazing on the succulent grass. Around the swamp, there is also a chance of spotting predators, so be careful! Return to the camp to shower off the safari dust and then enjoy a sundowner and a private dinner under the stars.

Day 4: Tarangire – Karatu

Today, after leaving the lodge or camp, we will head to Lake Manyara in the Great Rift Valley. We will enter and do a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Famous for its unusual tree-climbing lions, it also has a large elephant population, rich birdlife in the forests, and thousands of flamingos on the soda lake. In the late afternoon, we will ascend to the crater highlands for overnight.

Day 5: Karatu – Ngorongoro – Karatu

Early in the morning, transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This area was developed for the Maasai and wildlife to live on traditional lands without harm. Descend to the floor of the crater, a collapsed volcano and a World Heritage Site, for a game drive from the base across open plains, swampy areas, and acacia woodlands. Return to the crater highlands for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Karatu-Serengeti

Drive to the Serengeti! Lunch on the way at Olduvai Gorge and a view of the archaeological sites (and museum visit) where early human tools and fossils have been found. In the afternoon, game drive on the rolling grasslands. The Serengeti, intersected by wooded river valleys, is home to millions of large African mammals, making it one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world. Overnight at Nasikia, our own private camp in the heart of the Serengeti (beds, en-suite bathrooms, and showers).

Day 7: Serengeti

We will enjoy exploring the endless plains. The habitats are natural, and we can do game drives with a picnic lunch to explore further. There are resident cats and herd animals that we can observe.

Day 8: Serengeti

Day 9: Serengeti – Zanzibar

Early in the morning after check-out, transfer to Seronera airstrip for your flight to ZNZ. Upon arrival, your driver will meet you and transfer you to your beach accommodation for your own relaxation and activities, dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Zanzibar

Your own relaxation and activities at your beach accommodation.

Day 11: Zanzibar

Your own relaxation and activities at your beach accommodation.

Day 12: Zanzibar - Return Home

Early in the morning, after checking out from your accommodation, transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your international flight.
