Embark on the adventure of a lifetime with our 9-day Lemosho Route expedition up Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. The Lemosho Route is widely considered the most scenic and rewarding path to the summit, offering diverse landscapes and excellent acclimatization opportunities.
This carefully crafted itinerary begins on the western side of the mountain, taking you through pristine rainforest, across the stunning Shira Plateau, and up to the summit via the challenging Barranco Wall. With its gradual ascent profile and "climb high, sleep low" strategy, the Lemosho Route maximizes your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters while providing breathtaking views throughout the journey.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) at TBA, you will be welcomed by your Patriot Tours guide and transferred to your accommodation in Moshi or Arusha. In the evening, you will receive a pre-trekking briefing, where your guide will go over the itinerary, safety precautions, and conduct a final gear check to ensure you're well-prepared for the climb.
After breakfast, transfer to Londorosi Gate for registration before driving to the trailhead. The trek starts through the lush rainforest, home to black-and-white colobus monkeys and exotic birds. The day ends at Mti Mkubwa Camp (Big Tree Camp), where you will have time to rest and enjoy your first night on the mountain.
